Assam Educator Physically Mishandles Minor, Court Sentences Him To 6 Years In Jail

Chirang: A neighborhood court in Assam’s Chirang region has condemned an educator to six years of detainment for physically manhandling a minor young lady last year. The court likewise forced a fine of Rs 10,000. The Special Judge (POCSO), Bijni on Thursday passed a judgment for detainment for a very long time to Sanjib Kumar Ray who is an instructional exercise educator in the Chirang region.

Following the episode last year, the relatives of the casualty had held up a grumbling before the police in February this year and the police had enrolled a case under Sections of IPC and POCSO Act at Bijni Police Station. Advocate Prabin Deb Roy said that the Additional District and Session Judge and Special Judge (POCSO) Court passed the last judgment regarding the physically mishandling case which was enlisted at Bjijni police headquarters.

The court has granted detainment for quite a long time to denounced individual Sanjib Kumar Ray and forced fine of Rs 10,000, in default of installment of which to go through basic detainment for a further time of a half year under segment 10 of POCSO Act,” the Advocate said.
