11, Including Schoolchildren, Dead As Bus Falls Into Gorge In Himachal

Shimla: Eleven travelers, including schoolchildren, were killed after a transport fell into a canyon in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu earlier today. Visuals showed the vigorously harmed vehicle.

Kullu Deputy Commissioner Ashutosh Garg said the transport, went to Sainj, fell into the canyon close to Jangla town around 8.30 am. Locale authorities and safeguard groups have arrived at the spot, he said, adding that the harmed were being raced to a close by clinic.

Something like 40 understudies were in the transport when the mishap occurred, the authorities said.

The Prime Minister’s office has tweeted that the groups of those killed in the mishap would get a pay of ₹ 2 lakh each.

“The Prime Minister has endorsed an ex-gratia of ₹ 2 lakh each from PMNRF for the closest relative of the people who have lost their lives because of the awful transport mishap in Himachal Pradesh. The harmed would be given ₹ 50,000 every,” it said.
